With 15000-20000 entries it is not practical to use the 'From address' option in the 'Gateways' settings of the connectors to route the messages.
The best routing option would be to use the 'Gateway' field of the SQL Connector to specify the gateway(s) that can be used to send the individual message.
If it is not possible to use the gateway(s) field in the SQL database then you can also use the HTTP callback option for this. But you have to make sure that the HTTP calls are very fast. The best way to make sure that the HTTP calls are fast enough is to use a locally installed PHP program and use the 'CGI' or even better 'FastCGI' option to run the PHP script. The PHP script itself also has to be very fast so there should not be any database queries or other relatively slow operations in the script.

Hello Henk,
In the from address field how much content can be put, we have around 15000 to 20000 sender IDs which are of 6 Characters each. Please suggest would it be viable to use this option. Can we also do something where this data of sender IDs can be fetched from the database so every time adding the new senders to the connector is difficult.
If you have any other option please suggest we tried the SQL Connector HTTP callback but that makes everything very slow and then server itself becomes very slow as our maximum batch size for SQL Connector is 1000.
Please let us know how we can achieve this.
Have a great day and Happy Holidays..!!!

Hello Sarfaraz,
The 'ApprovedSourceAddressList' cannot be used to route messages to a different gateway but you can use the routing options in the 'Gateways' settings of each connector to change the routing dependending on the 'from' address.
For instance, you have two gateways 'SMPP 1' and 'SMPP 2' and one SQL Connector. All messages with source address '+123456789' and '+987654321' should be sent with gateway 'SMPP 1' and all other messages with 'SMPP 2':
- open the settings for the SQL Connector and select the 'Gateways' settings.
- Click on gateway 'SMPP 1'
- Set 'Only for from address' to '+123456789;+987654321'
- Click on gateway 'SMPP 2'
- Set 'Only for from address' to '-+123456789;+987654321'
You can find more information about message routing in Diafaan SMS Server in the online manual.

Hello Henk,
Hope you are fine, things are working fine on our end too. We would like to know if it possible that if the Source address is not in the list so instead of going from the default source address it goes from another backup gateway defined as this feature would make the ApprovedSourceAddressList work great.
Thanks in Advance.
Have a great day!
Sarfaraz.
