Hello Sorin,
The scripting in the HTTP Gateway is basically the same as the scripting in the Scripting Gateway. The HTTP Gateway has some extra functionality for configuration variables but this is only to make it a little easier to use the gateway and change the settings of the HTTP SMS service without having to change the script itself every time.
You can edit the script of the HTTP Gateway after you set the 'ShowAdvancedOptions' property in the advanced settings of the HTTP Gateway to 'True'. This adds a new link in the settings of the HTTP Gateway to edit the script. However, the functionality of the script is the same as in the Scripting Gateway.

I was searching for documentation on OnMessagePacket and I have seen the https://www.diafaan.com/support-forum/using-diafaan-sms-server/update-message-status-from-outside-diafaan/
Looking at the Clickatell script I saw the logic for adding configuration variables. Can that be used for Scripting Gateways ?
My script will have some settings that idealy should not require editing the script.
Or can I use a Clickatel (or a similar HTTP gateway) and edit the script ? What are the differences between Scripting Gateways and HTTP Gateways ?
