Thanks for the logs Vick.
There is nothing wrong with the settings in your installation of Diafaan SMS Server. The device just sends the messages very slowly, it takes the modem about 10-11 seconds to send one message. This is quite slow for a GSM modem but unfortunately not uncommon, the send speed differs from one GSM modem to another and can also be different if the same modem works on another GSM network.
One possible explanation why the modem is so slow might be that it has problems sending and receiving SMS messages at the same time. You can limit the number of SMS messages the modem receives when you disable delivery confirmation, go to the Advanced properties of the GSM Modem Gateway and set the "DeliveryConfirmation" property to "False". If you are not interested in the received SMS messages you can also set the GSM Modem Gateway to "Send only".
Another possible explanation is that the GSM modems interfere with each other, for instance because the capacity of the GSM network cell they are logged on is very low. If that is the case you could try SIM cards from different GSM service providers so that the modems work on different networks.
Sorry for the wait...had to wait till we had a broadcast scheduled. We tinkered with the configuration a bit and it was faster but still not synchronized sending.
I've emailed you the files you requested.
Thanks, this USB modem pool acts as four individual GSM modems with four virtual serial ports. The modems should be used simultaneously by Diafaan SMS Server after you added the 4 GSM Modem Gateways.
There could be a problem with the modem pool, I might be able to tell more if I see the configuration and modem logs of the GSM Modem Gateways. The configuration can be saved to file with the menu options "File-Export-Configuration". You can find a instruction on how to create a modem log on http://www.diafaan.com/how-to/log-modem-problems/. The modem logs for the four modems should preferably include the same time period and simultaneous message sending. Please send the logs to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for the reply. This is my device: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/GSM-Wavecom-Q2303-brand-new-module-4-ports-modem-pool-for-bulk-sms/914544_636887720.html
Can you give me a little more information about the modem you use? A link to the product page of the manufacturer would be great.
I have a Wavecom q2303 4 ports GSM modem and though i know the restrictions of a GSM network to send about 12 sms per minute, I'm using your free trial and on testing I've noticed that though it uses all the ports, its not sending the messages simultaneously all all 4 rather one-by-one.
Is this a configuration setting I'm missing or its my device?
