Hello Harun,

For Diafaan SMS Server there is no difference between SMS messages to and from normal phone numbers and SMS message to and from shortcodes. The only difference is the originator number that is supplied by your SMS service.

Diafaan SMS Server needs a PC or server that can comfortably run Windows. To send and receive SMS messages you'll need one or more GSM modems with SIM cards and/or an (external) SMS service that support the SMPP standard or one of the HTTP APIs that Diafaan SMS Server supports. The SMS services that can deliver short code services will probably support the SMPP standard but some of them will probably only offer a proprietary HTTP API.
