Unfortunately I do not have any further suggestions to make. If the firmware update for the SIM53201A module did not help then it looks like it that your modem pool simply does not work reliably with Diafaan SMS Server.

Hi, I updated the driver version, as indicated, but the behavior of the application has not changed.
Any other ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thanks again for the logs.

When I look at the logs it most likely is hardware problem in the USB modem pool or a problem with the modem modules themselves. It is not likely to be a problem that can be solved with specific setting for the serial port or with an AT command from Diafaan SMS Server, at least not a standard AT command that I know of. For some reason the modem stops responding to AT commands after it is restarted and it only starts to work properly after it is switched on for some time.

There is a firmware update available for this modem module and you might consider trying this on one of the modems in the modem pool but of course there is no guarantee that this will solve the issue.

Regards, Henk

Hi, I have done 2 tests with the following results.
Test 1:
I inserted a SIM card into one of the 8 modems that have the default configuration and after a while it started to work. Analyzing the log file I see the repetition of the same commands for 15 minutes, then start receiving the initialization commands and connection to the telephone network.
Test 2: I disconnected the modem, restarted the Diafaan service and reconnected the modem. The service was sending the initialization script to the modem and just after 32 minutes it went into the active state.
I send email with the log file of the 2nd test.

HI, I have changed the port settings, as you suggested, but I have not found changes in the behavior of the application. I add a segment of the log file.

I have sent you the following reply by email on February 4, 2019:

Thank you for the logs. Unfortunately I can't find anything wrong in the logs. When something like this happens my first thought is a problem with the serial port settings but with a USB modem pool this cannot be the problem because the serial port is virtual and changing the port settings in Diafaan SMS Server does not have any effect with this device.

There is a possibility that there is an internal problem in the modem pool with the USB to serial port converter but I would expect a problem with the Telnet session as well when this would be the case.

You can try to change the 'ModemInitializationCommand' in the advanced settings of the GSM Modem Gateway to 'AT' instead of 'ATE0' since that is the command where the modem does not respond anymore. I don't expect that this will help but I would be interested to see the communication log for the GSM Modem Gateway with this setting.

Regards, Henk

I would like to see the communication log of the GSM Modem Gateway and the configuration file of Diafaan SMS Server (menu options 'File-Export-Configuration'). You can send these two files to email address dms@diafaan.com.

Regards, Henk

I am sending e-mail to dms@diafaan.com because this text box is changing the real text.

Hi, I have an 8 ports USB pool modem with SIMCOM SIM5320A modules. I can configure modems and send sms using any software like hyper terminal or putty. This is a text captured from hyper term:
> AT&FE0
< AT&FE0
AT+CGMI
< SIMCOM INCORPORATED
AT+CGMM
< SIMCOM_SIM5320A
AT+CGMR
< +CGMR: 1575B13SIM5320A
AT+CPIN?
< +CPIN: READY
< OK
AT+CMGF=?
< +CMGF: (0-1)
AT+COPS?
< +COPS: 0

2019/01/31 18:10:37.078 < OK

2019/01/31 18:10:37.088 < AT&F
2019/01/31 18:10:37.138 < OK

2019/01/31 18:11:07.138 >
2019/01/31 18:11:07.238 - Serial port closed.

The test button for any port shows always:
- Open port: COMX:115200,n,8,1
> AT&F

< AT&F
ATE0

- Timeout
- Port closed

I was try changing: Compatibility Mode, Flow Control, Reboot before initialization and Reboot. After Timeout but Diafaam can't connect to modems.
Do you know any configuration for use with these modems?
Why logs shows command timeouts if modem is working fine?
Thanks in advance.
