Hello Benjamin,
Diafaan SMS Server must be able to open a telnet connection to your phone to use it as a GSM modem. It can only do that if the phone is accessible from the computer running Diafaan SMS Server, it must preferably be on the same LAN network and there should not be any firewalls between the phone and the computer blocking the connection. If the phone is on another LAN network there should be a port forwarding active to make port 10001 of the phone available to the internet .
You can use a telnet program like PuTTY to test if you can set up a connection from your computer to port 10001 of your phone. If that is not possible there is something on the phone or between the phone and your computer blocking the connection.

Hi,
I have downloaded the evaluation copy of Diafaan and I'm unable to add my Android phone as a GSM modem. The following is the log from the Test:
- Open port: TCP/IP:115200,n,8,1:192.168.1.80:10001
- port not accessible
- Timeout
- Port closed
I've checked the settings on the emulator on my phone and confirmed that the Host IP is 192.168.1.80 and port 10001. My phone info is as follows:
Model: LG Nexus 5
OS: 6.0.1 (rooted); Sept 6 2016 patch
Please assist.
Best regards,
Ben
