Hello David,

The easiest way to implement an auto-reply function in Diafaan SMS Server is with a Scripting Connector. If the reply is just a text like "We have received your message", the only thing you have to do is un-comment the following line in the (C#) script:

// PostSendMessage(fromAddress, "", "We have received your message", "sms.text", "", "", "", 0);

If the response is more complicated, for instance when you have to query a database for the proper response text, the script of course also gets more complicated.

If you want to implement an auto response function with the SQL Connector or the Web Connector you have to create an external database program or web application to process the received SMS message and generate the response. That is not something that can be done within Diafaan SMS Server.
