The only way to make a complete backup of the configuration of Diafaan SMS Server is to backup the folder '%ProgramData%\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server\' with all of its subfolders.

Make sure to close both the console program and service of Diafaan SMS Server before you make the backup and when you want to restore the folder. Otherwise it is possible that some of the files are not copied properly and this can lead to data loss.

To make a backup of the whole configuration:
- Stop the Diafaan SMS Server service and Console program
- Copy the folder "%ProgramData%\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server\" with all of its subfolders.
- Start the Diafaan SMS Server service and Console program

To restore the configuration to the same server or another server:
- Stop the Diafaan SMS Server service and Console program
- Remove or move the folder "%ProgramData%\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server\" if it already exists
- Restore the backed up data to "%ProgramData%\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server\".
- Start the Diafaan SMS Server service and Console program
