Hi George,

The MC35i is compatible with Diafaan SMS Server but the Siemens devices sometimes have problems with the memory locations in the device where the SMS messages are stored. Most likely that is also the case here.

If you know how to use Hyperterminal or another terminal program on a COM port you can try to send the following commands to the modem:
AT+CPMS=MT,MT,MT
wait one minute
AT&W

If that does not solves the problem you may try:
AT+CPMS=SM,SM,SM
wait one minute
AT&W

Regards, Henk

I am using modem Siemens MC35i. Please tell me if it is compatibile.

My problem is that when I receive a message and the modem is not connected; when I connect the modem it is receiving that message continuously. Please tell me if there is any solution to this problem.

It works! Thank you.

How can I set up Diafaan to send the SMS reply back to the email user who send the message?

Hi Johann,

Some SMS programs change the settings of the GSM modem. If you used the GSM modem with other software before this might be the problem here. For the Siemens TC35i you can try the following modem command that restores the default memory location where the SMS messages are stored:

- Open Advanced page in the GSM Modem Gateway Properties.
- Set the ModemInitialization option to:
AT+CPMS="MT","MT","MT"

Regards, Henk

How can the Siemens TC35 GSM modem receive SMS messages? I can send messages but it does not receive the replies.
