What is the status of the Web Connector after the red cross is visible? The normal status is 'Ready to send and receive messages', does this status change when the red cross appears?

I don't think a re-install of Diafaan SMS Server will solve the problem. But you can try if removing all the Web Connectors from Diafaan SMS Server and then adding a new Web Connector with the default properties helps.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have to stop and start the service to make it work however after an hour or 50 mins then i get a cross next to web connector and I have to repeat the process.
I have disabled email alerts.
Shall i try to reinstall it again?

Thank you for the event log file.
There is no indication in the event log file of a problem with the HTTP server in Diafaan SMS Server. I don't know where the 50 minutes uptime comes from but it does not show up in the event log. The Web Connector is also restarted when you open the Web Connector properties and select 'OK'. Does that also solve the problem or do you have to stop and restart the Diafaan SMS Server service?
The problem with the error '504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type' comes from the email alert function in Diafaan SMS Server. You can disable this function, or change the authentication parameters for the SMTP server, in the general options (select 'Actions-Options-Email alerts).

Without a look at the logs there is not much I can recommend.
For the problem with the Web Connector I would like to see the event log of Diafaan SMS Server (menu options 'File-Export-Event log).

Hi,
Test always passes but i noticed that when I have cross next to web connector there is nothing listening on port 9710 (netstat -a), as soon as I restart diafaan service i can see port 9710 in "netstat -a" output.
This is happening after every 50 minutes and I have to restart diafaan service to fix that.
My webpage return "200 ok" status code which should be good enough.
Any help would be much appreciated

Your website URL could be the source of the problem. A web browser often ignores protocol errors so the URL of your web server can look OK in a browser even if it has errors. If you open the Web Connector properties and select 'Receive SMS' you can use the 'Test' button to test the URL of your server. After the test, you can click on 'show log' to view the result of the test.
Error '504 5.7.4 Unrecognized authentication type' is an email SMTP error, it has nothing to do with the Windows administrator account. It means that you have set up email alerts in Diafaan SMS server to an SMTP server without the proper authentication method that the SMTP server requires. There are a number of places in Diafaan SMS Server where you can add an email server and they all include a 'Test' button to test the connection to the SMTP server. After the test, you can click on 'show log' to view the result of the test.
If you are not able to solve the problems, you can send the result of the tests (after clicking on 'show log') and the configuration file (select 'File-Export-Configuration') to dms@diafaan.com and I will have a look to see if I can find out what is wrong.

Thanks for the reply, my web connector configuration is very simple, everything is on default other than "Forward received sms to website" and I have my website URL which works fine.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

This error means that Diafaan SMS Server sends an HTTP request to a web server and that the web server returns a response that does not conform to the HTTP standards.
It depends on the type of response violation if this is a problem that can be easily solved or not. Do you know which web server is the cause of this error and what part of Diafaan SMS Server is making the HTTP request?

Hi,
I have downloaded the demo version but I am keep getting the following error and then I have to reboot the server and after an hour it comes back again.
The server committed a protocol violation. Section=ResponseStatusLine Web Connector
Any help would be much appreciated.
