UPDATE: We have added a new script for the Scripting Gateway in Diafaan SMS Server to the Diafaan Scripting Pack to handle received messages from a short-code or long-code from Clickatell. The script starts an internal web server on port 80 and waits for HTTP callbacks from Clickatell with the received messages.
The Diafaan Scripting Pack is available on the download page.
Unfortunately, I do not have a release date for the next version of Diafaan SMS Server. It will be released when it is ready ;).
I do not have plans to add more reporting options to Diafaan SMS Server. But the HTTP callback feature that was added to the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server can be used to log all messages on an external web server and this log can be used to to create reports.
The ability to create signatures and standard messages in the Web Application is on the list of requested features but I don't know yet if we will implement this feature.
The Clickatell gateway will not be expanded with the possibility to receive SMS messages but it is possible, and probably not too difficult, to implement this functionality in a Gateway script. If you have a Clickatell account with a number that can receive SMS messages and are willing to test it out, I can provide you with the right script. Please note that Clickatell sends the received messages to a public web server, that means that Diafaan SMS Server must expose one of the ports of your server to the Internet. And this server must have a fixed IP address.
Any news on new updates or versions?
A couple of features that would be nice to have.
Reporting on received msgs based on date or name.
Ability to have and save a signatures
Maybe a module to pull down responds from ClickAtell.
Just a few.
