Hello Bul,

This error code means that ODBC is not able to locate the driver with the name '{MySQL ODBC 5.3.8 Driver}'. The first thing you can try is to drop the '.8' from the name:
Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.3 Driver};Server=localhost;charset=UTF8MB4;Database=smsserver;user=rompk;Password=grdrom082;Option=3;

If that does not work, you can also add a Data Source Name (DSN) to the Windows ODBC Manager and use that in the connection string. To add a DSN, open the 64-bits ODBC Manager for the 64-bit version of Diafaan SMS Server or the 32-bit ODBC manager for the 32-bit version of Diafaan SMS Server. Then click on the 'System-DSN' tab, add the new DSN for your driver and give it a namer, for instance 'Diafaan'.

The connection string that you use in Diafaan SMS Server will then simply be:
DSN=Diafaan

Hi Henk,

Im facing some issues with regard to the process of adding a SQL Connector.
Im using MySQL 5.3.8 64-bit version.
Can you please take a look at the configuration settings that don't seem to be allright
as im having this error :"ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified".

My ODBC connection string is as follow:

Driver={MySQL ODBC 5.3.8 Driver};Server=localhost;charset=UTF8MB4;Database=smsserver;user=rompk;Password=grdrom082;Option=3;

Do i need to specify the path to the Driver or just keep as default {MySQL ODBC 5.3.8 Driver}.
What is the path to the 64-bit version of the driver on Windows 7 64-bit should i need to specify that.

Would be great to have a filed-in connection string exemple, with "real" values (paths and names).

NB: i have also installed the 32-bit version of ODBC connector; that is, on top of the 64-bit.

In advance, thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Bul-Bul-J
