Hello Barry,

If you set the 'CompatibilityMode' in the advanced settings of the GSM Modem Gateway to 'BasicTextMode' or 'BasicPDUMode' and leave the PIN code empty, Diafaan SMS Server will not use the 'AT+CPIN?' command.

The response to the 'AT+CGMM' command suggests that your modem is a CDMA modem and that it only supports 'BasicTextMode'. When you add the new GSM Modem Gateway in Diafaan SMS Server and use the 'Test' button it will always test if a PIN code is required and this generates an error for your modem. You can just ignore this error, proceed with the new GSM Modem Gateway and set the 'CompatibilityMode' to 'BasicTextMode' afterwards.

Regards, Henk

When I test an older Multitech modem it does not complete successfully.

AT+CPIN?
reports an error and I do not believe that this is a valid command for this modem. How can I turn this off. I have tried each of the compatibility modes.

TIA
Barry
