Hello Emman,

It is very likely that it is not possible to use both USB modems at the same time. USB 3G modems are usually not designed to be used with other USB modems on the same computer. For some modems it works and for other modems it won't work. It is usually possible to use multiple USB modems from different manufacturers on one PC though.

If you need multiple GSM modems on one PC, I recommend using a GSM modem pool or a GSM SMS Gateway, these devices are designed for this purpose and work much better than multiple USB modems.

Regards, Henk

I tried to install to USB modem. The problem is one is working and the other is not. I interchanged the connection and the same situation, only one USB modem is working. I sther any way to correct this?

Hi Luis,

The basic- and full edition of Diafaan SMS Server support multiple GSM modems on a single server. The most reliable option for multiple modems is using serial or TCP/IP modems like the Sierra Wireless (Wavecom) or Cinterion (Siemens) modems, but those tend to be slower than the newer USB 3G modems.

USB modem like the Huawei E1750 sometimes cause driver problems on the USB port when you try to use multiple modems on one server. The only way to make sure whether it works properly with your modems is to test it out.

Regards, Henk

Greetings,

Reading the MODEM review seems the Huawei E1750 3G modem is the one that can send the most messages in the least of time. is it possible to have more than one MODEM in a single server in order to have multiple gateways using different usb modems? or is will there be a conflict with the modem software and the actual usb modem?

the spirit of my question is, is it possible to use multiple usb modems in order to elevate the throughput SMS sent.

thanks
Luis
