Hello Howard,
The Diafaan SMS Server service is set up to start automatically when Windows starts. If the service is not started when you re-start the PC then there is something going wrong. Perhaps a process that Diafaan SMS Server relies on is not started yet, or a virus checker or other security software blocks the start of the service.
When something like this happens there is usually an error in the application event log of Windows that explains the cause of the problem. But these error messages can be pretty cryptic so it is not always clear what the exact root cause of the problem is. If there is an error message in the Windows application event log please send it to 'dms@diafaan.com' and I will have a look at it.
One thing you can try in any case is to change the startup type of the service 'Diafaan SMS Server' in the Service Control Manager of Windows from 'Automatic' to 'Automatic (Delayed start)'. This ensures that Windows is started up completely before the Diafaan SMS Server service is started.
Regards, Henk
