Yes, the SQL Connector in Diafaan SMS Server periodically scans the database table and sends each record in the database as a single SMS message. All your application has to do to send an SMS is to write a record in the database with the mobile number and the message text.

Hi Henk,

Thank you so much. It was very helpful, didn't realize that the issue was that simple only. 😀
It's all good now, I have tested already sending and receiving SMS through the built-in web app. BTW, I'm planning to use the SQL connector where it will create a database on my SQL server, in that way, I would just need to develop a front-end application (VB.Net) that will entry records to the database. Is it correct?

Hello Yuz,

The error 'Port not accessible' means that Diafaan SMS Server is not able to open the virtual serial port of the Huawei E3131. This error usually indicates that another process in Windows already uses the port but it can also mean that there is a technical problem with the port, for instance an error with the serial port driver.

You can try the following steps to free the serial ports:
- Close down the 'Network connection' program that came with the Huawei E3131 driver.
- Close down any other SMS or modem related programs on your computer. Some programs scan the computer for serial ports and open all the ports automatically. If the program runs as a Windows service you should also stop the service.
- Disable the fax driver in Windows (if it is active).

Regards, Henk

Hi there guys!

I have tried the trial version because our company is interested on using this software tool for us to be able to send bulk messages to our customers. However upon trying, i keep on failing on the first step which is adding the SMS gateway because it cannot detect the Huawei device connected also on my PC. I am certain anyway that it should be detected because the first time I ran the SMS server and the first time also I plugged the USB dongle (Huawei E3131), i have seen it appeared or been detected by the SMS Server but failed after pressing the 'Test' button.

(Please see below screenshots for reference.) Thank you. I hope someone help us with this.

Oops sorry! I thought I can attach or paste here the images but it won't.
