I am sorry but I don't quite understand your question. Can you describe the situation and your requirements in more detail?

Regards, Henk

Hello Henk,

If the provider offers API for bulk and single SMS, and the supplier flow comes usually from SMPP binds, which option should I choose?
And what shall be the configuration in this case for the batch size?

Hello Udo,

The SMS system does not have the functionality to indicate that a message is a reply to another message and that means that it is not possible to send a reply back to the original sender with 100% certainty if there are multiple users using the same source address. Diafaan SMS Server can route the incoming messages back to one of the SMPP Connectors, or to multiple SMPP Connectors, but it cannot route the messages back to the right user unless you process the messages in a script and assign the right user name yourself.

The HTTP Gateway actually is a Scripting Gateway with some extra options and a number of predefined scripts plus a generic HTTP option. The generic HTTP gateway is not able to process incoming messages and delivery reports but you can adapt one of the scripts for the HTTP API of your SMS service provider. To change a script, first add a new HTTP Gateway for a specific SMS service, then set the 'ShowAdvancedOptions' in the advanced settings of the new gateway to 'True' and click on 'Save'. You can then click on the 'Edit ... script' link in the SMS service options of the HTTP Gateway settings to adapt the script.

Please be aware that we do not provide support for customization of the scripts.

regards, Henk

I'm testing now Diafaan to 'translate' the communications between an application that uses SMPP and a shortcode SMS provider that uses only HTTP.
The SMPP connector wants full bidirectional communication, meaning that when afterwards the mobile sends an answer (Not the DLR), the message must be relayed back to the correct SMPP connector.
We are still checking the full capabilities of the HTTP provider, but he does offer callback, and a generic HTTP gateway in Diafaan can't handle callbacks, so I must create a scripting gateway.
Can a scripting gateway handle answers from mobiles and route them to a correct SMPP connector?
Can I make ANY HTTP gateway be bidirectional?

If yes, a suggestion on what I shall do to accomplish this using Diafaan is welcome.

BR
