Hi Mohamad,
The HuaWei E220 turns out to be fully compatible with Diafaan SMS Server with some minor issues:
- The SMSC number is not always detected when the GSM modem gateway is added. You might have to add it manually.
- The E220 driver adds two virtual serial ports. Only the first serial ports should be used, the second port periodically sends out a ^BOOT message that might interfere with the SMS message handling.
- On initialization of the GSM modem an error event message is generated because one of the modem commands is not supported. This error can be ignored.
The GSM modem also supports delivery confirmation.

Hi,
I am not familiar with the E220 device and from what I find on the internet it is difficult to give a definitive answer. I will try go get hold of one and get back to you when I know for sure.

Good, if you keep getting timeout errors I am still interested in seeing the communication log.

hi
it's working now ! the problem was due some wrong configuration, I can confirm that Multitech GPRS modem MTCBA-G-F1 is working with Diafaan SMS server Basic. I got two (Timeout error, no or unexpected response after GSM Modem command "AT+CMGL=4\r") today but we are still testing it

Hi Nour,
The software is tested with the WaveCom Fastrack M1306B and Fastrack Supreme modems. The Multitech MTCBA-G-F1 is a GSM 07.05 compatible modem and Diafaan SMS Server should work with it. Could you enable the Gateway Communication Log in the Options dialog and send the log file plus the event error(s) to dms@diafaan.com?
Regards, Henk
