Hi Alexier,
First, make sure you are using the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server. The latest version uses a different HTTP server from previous versions and it is easier to add firewall exceptions for the new version. The latest version also adds a firewall exception to the Windows firewall on installation, but this will not work for other firewall/security software (and it might not work with all versions of windows).
If you can access http://localhost:9710 on the Windows XP SP2 server itself but not from other computers in the network than it is most likely a firewall issue. You might try disabling (temporarily) the firewall software to see if that solves the problem. If so you know for sure that it is indeed a firewall issue.

Henk

Hi, we have currently setup a server here in our office and we have been using the program for quite some time now. We just subscribed to a static ip service to fully enhance our services to different clients. However the problem is really plucking my veins out..
If i open the other machine which has the old Diafaan Server set up (it has windows 7), the port 9710 could be accessed anywhere. But if I close the machine and open up the new server which has the new program setup, the port 9710 cant be accessed. The new machine runs on windows xp sp2. I dont know what is happening. I configured everything to the point (firewall exception, connector settings, apache, etc) but still in doesnt work. Really need help here...
So the problem is simply the HTTP Gateway doesnt work on the new server (xp sp2) but rather working in the other machinee (windows 7).
