as I stated in the first post I'm using the trial version to check if your software suits my needs or not before purchase

and if you don't want to offer help it's up to you.

We do not usually provide script programming support for Diafaan SMS Server but if your license is still in the free update and support period and you send the serial number of your license to dms@diafaan.com I can send you the code to get the authentication token from the modem.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my suggestion.
I agree with you in the aspect that they have light differences from one Hilink Usb key to another but the main difference for sending/receiving and listing SMS API is the authentication token for the new keys which is absent for the old ones.

So what I'm asking is skeleton or an example to copy and edit for the script that is equivalent for the cUrl command line in c# or VB.Net and if there are differences we have only to change the parameters of cUrl command line for each specific Hilink key accordingly which is done by searching sites like "https://stackoverflow.com".

If you can only offer one example I hope you can offer one which use authentication tokens because for the keys which doesn't require authentication we have only to remove the token part from the code.
and I think this is enough to get started and tweaking the code.

and thanks again for your assistance.

Hello Crym,

We have looked into it but found that the Huawei HiLink APIs are too fragmented to offer a reliable way to implement support for it in Diafaan SMS Server that would work for multiple Huawei HiLink modems. It seems that the implementation of the API is different for each modem and it may even be different between firmware versions for the same modem. It would probably be feasible to implement support for one or two HiLink modem models in Diafaan SMS Server but not to implement support for all HiLink models.

Hello Admin, I'm using trial version but when I've tried to connect it with my Huawei modem it doesn't work and foud this topic

after days of search on the INTERNET to find a solution I come cross these ressources that I think could help to add Hilink modem support to Diafaan

I've found that Huawei Hilink modems provide an API which can be used to Get and Send SMS

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38016641/sending-and-receiving-sms-by-command-line-with-huawei-e3131-and-hilink-on-a-debi

https://github.com/BlackyPanther/Huawei-HiLink/blob/master/hilink.class.php

https://blog.hqcodeshop.fi/archives/259-Huawei-E5186-AJAX-API.html

https://github.com/HSPDev/Huawei-E5180-API

https://chaddyhv.wordpress.com/2012/08/13/programming-and-installing-huawei-hilink-e3131-under-linux/

http://codegist.net/code/hilink-send-sms/

I've tried to add it as HTTP GATEWAY by input the API Url and XML request format in The HTTP query but without any success because I think it needs the session token and pass the request through cUrl command

like in the examples in the links provided above

so I thought that the only way is by creating a script gateway
I'm hoping that you can provide an equivalent example in c# or vb script that use curl command inside script to send and receive SMS from hilink API
cause I'm not familiar with programing script in c# or vb.net in your app
and by doing this you will give a solution to support Hilink

thanks in advance

It is very unlikely that we will add support for HiLink modems in Diafaan SMS Server. In theory it would be possible but Huawei seems to actively discourage access to the HiLink modems from external software like Diafaan SMS Server. Huawei does not publish the technical requirements to access the HiLink modems and they regularly change the access procedure, making it almost impossible to write software that works reliably with these modems.

Thank You Henk for the information,
I really hope Diaffan will find a workaround on this in the near future. Most of my clients have the Hilink modems and i really am stuck on how best i can assist them since we seem not to get older modem versions in the market.

The Huawei E3531 is one of the Huawei HiLink line of modems and unfortunately these models are not compatible with Diafaan SMS Server.

Diafaan SMS Server can work with all GSM modems that support the GSM 07.05 / 07.07 AT command standard over a (virtual) serial port or TCP/IP connection. Most WiFi modems and the HiLink modems do not support this standard and do not have the ability to send and receive SMS messages from external applications like Diafaan SMS Server.
