As usual Henk you are correct that's exactly what's happening. I appreciate your timely responsen
Mobile networks are moving gradually to 5G and in the process they may switch off older 2G and 3G networks. If your network operator has switched off the 2G and 3G networks, older 3G modems will not work with the network anymore.
In the status window of the GSM Modem Gateway you can see the name and type of the mobile network that the modem is logged on to. When the modem is not connected to a network these fields are empty and the signal strength indicates 'No signal'.

My server stopped working after many calls to my provider they said that 3G has been disabled so that's why its not working anymore.
It doesn't work with my Huawei E173 and also my laptop with an internal modem (Sierra Wireless Snapdragon X7 WWAN Modem) in each case the modem passes the initial tests.
Is my provider correct, if I insert another providers sim card it works.
Thanks
