Hello Esteban,
My apologies for the late reply.
It is always hard to say what the exact cause of these problems are but your description of the problem suggest that the queue database and/or the log database are not able to keep up with the amount of messages. The fact that the message status is slow to go to 'delivered' is an indication of this because sending out the messages has priority over the handling of delivery reports.
The databases get more requests with 59 gateways than with 1 gateway, even if the amount of messages are the same and it is possible that with 59 gateways the databases get behind with handling all the database requests.
There are some things you can try to improve the database performance in Diafaan SMS Server:
- Update to the latest version of Diafaan SMS Server, the database efficiency has improved in newer versions
- Remove the databases manually to start with empty databases:
- Stop both the Diafaan SMS Server service and console program
- Remove the following files from folder C:\ProgramData\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server\
- MessageExchange.sqlite
- MessageExchange.sqlite-journal
- MessageLog.sqlite
- MessageLog.sqlite-journal
- SendQueueProxy.sqlite
- SendQueueProxy.sqlite-journal
- Start both the Diafaan SMS Server service and console program
- Use a server with a fast (SSD) hard disk

I'm experiencing issues with SMS delivery via SMPP gateway to an SMPP server. I've configured two scenarios:
1. A single SMPP gateway with 59 SIM cards.
2. 59 individual SMPP gateways, each with one SIM card.
Each gateway sends 12 SMS per minute. For the single gateway, I've set MaxMessagesPerMinute=708, while individual gateways are set to MaxMessagesPerMinute=12.
It works correctly for the individual gateway, but using 59 gateways results in slow and intermittent sending, halting delivery for other connectors on the same SMPP server.
When the issue occurs, messages are sent but remain in the 'sent' state for an extended period and do not transition to the 'delivered' state.
Could you please assist me in identifying the issue?
