Hello Itai,
There can be a few reasons why sending messages suddenly take longer than before. There are a number of things you can check to find the cause for the slowdown.
- First, check if something changed on the computer, like an update of the virus checker. It might for instance be necessary to exclude the heavily used data files in the setup folder of Diafaan SMS Server (C:\ProgramData\Diafaan\Diafaan Message Server) from a new virus checker.
- Have a look at the event log of Diafaan SMS Server. If there are errors that indicate problems with one of the internal databases in Diafaan SMS Server then it is possible that the corresponding SQLite database file if damaged or simply getting too large. If that is the case, then stopping Diafaan SMS Server, removing the damaged database file(s) and re-starting Diafaan SMS Server will solve the issue.
- There can also be an issue with the HTTP server that you use to send the messages to. To check this, enable the 'LogCommunicationToFile' option in the advanced setting of the HTTP Gateway. Any errors in the communication between Diafaan SMS Server and the HTTP server will show up in the log file and might be helpfull in solving the problem.

We have been using Diafaan for a very long time, the Basic edition. We have been submitting sms’ over HTTP APi but for some reason over the past few days, I have noticed a marked delay in submission rate of sms’. It takes an over 3hrs to submit 20000 sms to teh HTTP gateway.
Any troubleshooting tips would greatly help to improve on the performance would be greatly appreciated
