There are two ways in Diafaan SMS Server to manipulate the message parameters with a script before they are sent out. Both methods are only available in the basic- and full editions of Diafaan SMS Server.

1. Use a Scripting Gateway
The C# or Visual Basic.NET script in a Scripting Gateway can change the message parameters and then 'dispatch' the message to another gateway. If you look at the 'OnMessageToSend' function in the default script of the Scripting Gateway you can find a commented out call to the 'PostDispatchMessage' function that dispatches the message to the 'GSM Modem Gateway'.

2. The HTTP callback functionality in Diafaan SMS Server can be used to change or block each individual message. HTTP callbacks can be made to a script on a remote web server but also to a locally installed instance of PHP and a local PHP script file.
