Hi Henk,
Problem solved. We had a network firewall issue and indeed had nothing to do with the application.
Thanks
Mike

It looks like IE8 does not recognize http://pmf-vmbase:9710 as a valid URL and treats it as a search command. It might be that one of the IE plugins you use is acting up or that the domain name cannot be resolved by IE8 but it is unlikely to be a problem with Diafaan SMS Server.
You can try to use the IP number instead of the machine name (e.g. http://192.168.0.10:9710), if the problem lies in the DNS lookup this might solve the problem.
Regards, Henk

It is not possible to upload files to this forum, you can send them to dms@diafaan.com and I will have a look.

Hi Mike,
The web application should work fine on Internet Explorer 8, do you have an exact error message (or better yet, a screenshot of the page with the error)?

I've been using Chrome to login to the site page to login and successfully sending SMS messages. However, when testing with IE Internet Explorer 8 on the same computer, it tells me that I cannot display the login page.
I checked my connection settings and since I am on an office network and using a proxy firewall, I selected the site to be excluded from using the proxy. Still does not load in IE 8. I have tried other workstations and it still does not work.
I am trying to figure out why Chrome works perfectly well but not IE on the very same computer.
