For the moment, based on the tests, the situation has been corrected with the implementation of this plugging. I am sending and receiving SMS with the normal cost.

Yes, I received the files and just sent you a replacement for the GSM Modem Gateway that I would like you to try. If you did not receive the file please let me know (perhaps after you checked your spam filter).

My suspicion is that Movistar regards all GSM numbers that are flagged as being in international format as international numbers. Usually the format of the number does not matter for the pricing but this may be different in the SMS Central used by Movistar.

I sent you a version of the GSM modem gateway that flags all numbers with a leading "+" as written in international format and all numbers without a leading "+" as written in national format. The gateway can be installed in the Plugins folder in the folder where you installed Diafaan SMS Server. You need to restart the Service and Console of Diafaan SMS Server to replace the default GSM modem gateway.

Have you tried to send a message to GSM number 01151374912 (without the + and with a leading zero?).

I would like so see if there is a difference in how the messages are received, can you send a message from a mobile phone to Diafaan SMS Server (with the lower price) and a message from Diafaan SMS Server to Diafaan SMS Server (with the higher price per SMS)? In the Receive log, select the two received messages, right click and select "Export to file". In the Send log, select the message you just sent and again, right click and select "Export to file".

Send the two files to dms@diafaan.com and I will have a look at them.

I have changed and / or verified what you have shown and nothing changed, the cost of SMS is still the international one. There are some files that I can send you to check the settings?.
I set Advanced Options
Number of SMSC -> +54079000801 (obtained from the configuration of my phone)
Number of GSM -> +1165189670 (my phone number)
When I write SMS, entered the destination number is +1151374912, I tested without the plus sign in the destination number but got the same result.

Diafaan SMS Server sends the messages through a GSM phone as a normal SMS messages and the price per SMS message should be the same. However your GSM operator might charge different prices dependent on the SMSC number or number format. You can try to change them:

- Check the SMS Central Number used by Diafaan SMS Server. The SMSC Number is retrieved from the SIM card and is usually (but not always!) correct. Sometimes the SMS operator uses different SMSC Numbers with different tariffs. The SMSC number can be overridden in the Advanced options of the GSM Modem Gateway.

- Send the messages with a national number, e.g. 0xxxxxxxx instead of +54xxxxxxxx. Your GSM operator could charge different prices dependent on the number format you use.

Please let me know if this does not make a difference.

I am testing your software sms gate, but I have problem with the local cost of sending sms.
The local shipping cost is AR $ 0.19 but when sent with your software with my cell phone to another local, my international call company AR invoice me $ 0.90.

Hi Mostafa,

As you already might have seen, we released a new version of Diafaan SMS Server today. The handling of GSM modems is changed in the new version so maybe installing the new version will resolve the problem.

If you still have problems with the Nokia 3110c I would like to know if there are any error messages in the Event Log of the GSM modem. After you enable the communication log you might be able to see if the modem returns any errors after a modem command. In version 1.5 you can enable logging in the Advanced tab of the Gateway Properties. In version 1.1 this option is available in the Options dialog box.
